This is Life with Amy and Jordan. I'll never forget searching for apartments together

the few months before we got married.

It was so exciting to think about what it was going to be like.

We were only 20, I was 21, Jordan was 22, and we were starting to apartment shop and

honestly our eyes were pretty like bulging out of her head every time we saw how much like a one bedroom

apartment cost and touring different apartments and seeing like what could we afford or what can we not afford and I'll never forget the day a family friend of ours reached out to us and said

hey I know you're getting married soon my mom has a condo and she's looking for new renters would you like to see it and we were like

sure yeah let's go see it Jordan wasn't able to go so I went by myself and our family friend was driving us through the neighborhood to the condo and I was so excited because it was in this beautiful neighborhood. I never thought we'd be able to afford as 21, 22 year old newlyweds.

And as she pulled into the parking lot, my eyes were just lighting up,

like walking into the apartment it had two bedrooms

instead of one and we had been only looking at one bedroom apartments and

there was tile on the floor in the kitchen instead of carpet.

And I was just seeing like so many more possibilities

than I even imagined for us at the beginning

of our marriage together.

And it really was, it felt like she was like our guardian angel
