0:55.4	Christmas close to the front line northeast of Kharkiv. But first, the news, and Patrick, it's been
1:01.2	mostly all bad for Russia, in my estimation. It began with the reported shooting down by Russian
1:06.7	air defences of an Azerbaijan Airlines Embraeer 190 passenger plane over the Republic of Chechnya
1:13.0	on Christmas Day, and that was followed up, probably inevitably, by a ham-fisted attempt to cover
1:18.8	up the atrocity.
1:20.9	Yeah, that's right.
1:21.9	So I bet the incident brought back memories, didn't it, of that downing of the Malaysian
1:27.4	Airlines jet by Russian
1:30.3	surface-to-air missile back in 2014. All 298 people on board were killed, and that was
1:38.3	when it was flying over an area of eastern Ukraine. It was controlled by Moscow-backed separatists.
1:43.3	So in this instance, the Azerbaijan Airlines plane
1:48.4	was coming into Grozny. It was rather on the approach to Grosney airport when it was struck by
1:53.4	what appears to be another Russian missile, and it was fired in an attempt to down what its
1:59.1	operators thought was the Ukrainian drone. So, you know,
2:02.9	part of the fog of war, I suppose, the plane was then, you know, clearly in great difficulties
