0:00.0	Hey everybody. It's been too long. This is Daryl Cooper, and you're about to hear episode 24 of the Martyr Made podcast.
0:14.1	This is the first episode of a new series called Enemy, the Germans War. And as the title implies, we're going to be exploring
0:24.5	the deep history of the Second World War through the eyes of the people who lost it.
0:31.8	As many of you know, I got into some hot water recently for discussing this topic on the Tucker Carlson show.
0:39.9	If you are new to the show and haven't heard, there was about a week-long freakout in 2024
0:46.9	throughout the Western press that culminated in my being denounced by name in an official statement from the Biden White House.
0:57.2	I have been warned by people who would know that I should probably avoid traveling to
1:02.7	several European countries due to the possibility that I'll be arrested when my plane lands.
1:09.4	What did I say that got people so riled up?
1:12.6	The gist of it was that the Second World War might have been avoided if the Allies,
1:17.6	in particular Britain, had taken a different approach to the belligerence of the Third Reich,
1:23.6	and that the Allies helped create the conditions that allowed the Hitler regime to justify the atrocities committed by German forces during the war.
1:34.0	I hadn't planned on talking with Tucker about World War II, and I admit I went off a little half-cocked, allowing people, many of them in bad faith or ignorance, but some not, to hear
1:48.1	things that I wasn't saying, specifically that the Germans were innocent bystanders and that
1:52.8	the allies were to blame for all the bad things that happened from 1939 to 1945.
1:58.9	Never mind that I said at the time that I specifically was not saying that. Still,
2:05.1	I knew I was walking on sacred ground with my shoes on, so I can't object too strongly when
2:12.0	some people complained that I was tracking mud through the cathedral. In any case, 20 minutes or so of an interview that up to that point had been focusing on
2:22.8	entirely different topics was not the best way to engage with that topic. So here we are.
2:31.0	We're going to go very deep in this series, as usual.
2:35.0	And we're not going to stop until we understand how a man like Adolf Hitler was formed,
2:42.0	how he was formed from the raw material of what was once an innocent child.
