On September 19th, 1991, Erika and Helmut Simon were hiking through the Austrian-Italian Alps when they stumbled upon the frozen and naturally mummified remains of a man who’d been dead for 5,000 years. This Neolithic man was nicknamed Ötzi. On today’s episode, we take a look at Otzi’s ancient life and his murder. He is one of the oldest victims of an unsolved homicide ever discovered.
