low-key one of my favorite YouTube channels. So I'm like geeking out kind of a little

bit. But I'm joined today by Matt Bong. Did I say it right? Yes he did. Thank you so much for

I'm, I'm, your YouTube channel has always been one of the things that I send to people like

whenever somebody's looking for like a fun like deep divey like something to get lost in that they can watch like a million videos in a row.

Your channel is so great for that and I really want you to tell my listeners like what you do.

Basically, so my channel I talked about pop culture history to do some storytelling about the making of behind the scenes stories particularly as it relates to what was going on with queer stuff behind the scenes and in real life.

So, you know, essentially my channel's about how the queer content on television and movies and media

also reflects the real life story of queer people's lives out in the world the actual stories of our lives.

Yeah, and I got really excited when we, so when I had messaged you about doing this, I was like, you know, just send me like a, we'll do like a short list of shows like to talk about, you know, and the list that you sent me was identical to what I was hoping you would send.

It was like, the Nanny Golden Girls Will and Grace, there was some Ellen content on there.

I was like, okay, yes, this is like,

this is the conversation I was hoping to have.

And yeah, I'm just excited to get into it.

I figured we could kind of look at some examples of shows that handled queerness in like a really

positive way or at least I would say just kind of based on your videos if not positive at least well meaning well intended you know yeah there's some

their hearts were in the right place kind of shows I think one of a great example that for example is rock which had the first that we know of televised same sex commitment ceremony in American prime time and And it's really a positive depiction,
