Hello and welcome back to the-and-sit-down podcast. We've been off the air for a while

0:16.5

recently and we're starting up again this week, beginning a new fortnightly

0:20.8

schedule until we get back into the swing of things properly.

0:24.3

The reason for that big break previously was down to a bunch of different factors, but broadly

0:29.2

speaking these are the headlines.

0:31.2

Firstly, I took a big holiday to swerve burnout after many years

0:35.4

of just not really taking proper holiday at all. I think that was a success really.

0:39.7

I'm back at my desk writing more than ever and feeling really good about it.

0:43.4

Also the two huge ARX reviews ended up taking up a lot of time just before that holiday.

0:49.2

I wanted to get that video, or those videos right, and nearly an hour and a half of edited B-rolled review is a pretty tall order,

0:57.2

so podcasts ended up slipping by the wayside. We also just had a weird slip in the amount of games we were playing. A lot of my game nights fell through because

1:05.9

my game group had a lot going on. And that's kind of a big driver of having stuff to talk about on these

1:11.1

podcasts. Anyway, we're all back now, we're playing more than ever,

1:14.6

and we're feeling real good. There are other reasons that I'm not going to get into, but

1:18.7

apologies for not communicating any of that with you, the audience, and just letting the podcast be offline for a while instead.

1:26.4

We're back now, fortnightly, whilst we get a bit of backlog or a safety net of episodes recorded,

1:31.9

and I think I'll try and put out more clear signals in the

1:34.4

feed whenever we might need a similar break in the future. Now today's episode it is a

1:40.0

weird one to have us come back with. I was meant to record a podcast today with one of our usual roster of humans, but then we had some technical difficulties that prevented the recording session. Now, normally that would mean no podcast but I thought my

1:55.6

dumb feature for this episode might actually work really well as a solo podcast

2:00.5

these always feel a little strange to do. Don't worry, this isn't the norm going forward,

2:06.0

but I thought I'd give it a go and just see what it feels like. So here's the pitch.
