I want to thank you for your patience waiting for this one.

Well, it's been a week or so as I'm writing this at least.

Since then, I did release the June Patreon bonus where we took a look back at the 1973 upstairs

lounge arson attack in New Orleans, Louisiana that killed 32 people.

It was the deadliest attack against the LGBTQ plus community in the United States for almost

43 years until it was surpassed by the Pulse Night Club mass shooting in Orlando, Florida,

which I also discussed briefly in the episode as well.

When that attack occurred on June 12, 2016, where 49 people lost their lives, it became

not only the deadliest attack against the LGBTQ plus community in US history, it also became

the deadliest terrorist attack since 9-11, and it held the distinction of being the deadliest

mass shooting until it was surpassed 15 months later on October 1, 2017, when the Las Vegas

Route 91 shooting happened, where 58 people were immediately killed, and two more were

added later after they died of complications related to their gunshot wounds.

At which point, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department amended the official death

toll of the shooting to 60.
