0:43.9	week on the diplomatic front. On Tuesday, Donald Trump had his long-awaited phone call with
0:49.2	Vladimir Putin to discuss an end to the war in Ukraine. The outcome? Putin rejected Trump's demand for an immediate
0:56.1	30-day ceasefire on air, land and the sea. Instead, the Russian president threw Trump a very small
1:02.4	bone by promising not to attack Ukrainian energy infrastructure. And of course, hours later, Russia reneged
1:09.1	on that promise, surprise, by launching a massive droneneged on that promise, surprise, surprise, by launching a
1:11.9	massive drone and missile attack that hit, among other targets, energy infrastructure in the
1:16.7	city of Sloviansk, in Donetsk, leaving part of the city of 100,000 people without electricity.
1:23.0	Meanwhile, the Ukrainians said they responded with a long-range drone strike against an oil
1:27.3	depot in the
1:28.0	Krasnodar region of Russia, damaging a pipeline and sparking a large blaze. This in turn prompted Kremlin
1:34.6	spokesman Dmitri Peskov to accuse Kiev of derailing Trump's peace initiative. According to
1:41.3	Peskov, Russia had actually shot down some of its own drones to stick to the terms of the partial ceasefire.
