Hello, I'm not a board game, but I like them. And I am Tom Brewster. You say you don't you like board games. Or are you a board game lover? I like board games. I don't want to put a label on it.

No. I mean, I've been talking about them professionally for 12 years. Yeah., like, I like them. Are you in a board game situation ship? Yeah. I mean,

you know, I think, you know, I wouldn't go and say it's Facebook complicated. Facebook stable?

No. No, of course I love board games. I was just goofing around. Oh, he was just teasing us.

But I am, I realized that actually, if I left it like that, people might think, oh, he's jaded. He's had enough of them. It's like, no, although I did, I did the other day I played a board game that wasn't very good. And now I hate the first time. I thought,

this isn't very good. I thought, what am I doing? What am I doing? And that's not true. I'm joking again.

It's fine. I love board games. He even likes the bad ones. Sometimes, yeah. On this episode of the podcast, don't worry, we're only talking about good games.

Games that are at the very least good.

And at their best, oh, they're some of the best.

We are going to be talking about pagan fate of Roanoke, an asymmetric game of witch hunting or being a witch, depending on which side you're

playing. We're going to talk about shuffle and swing, a game about mice or cats, I don't

know which, building many musical instruments. And we're going to be talking about Shackleton

bass, a game that's about faintly crap capital on the moon.

First up, we're going to be talking about pagan fate of Rowan Elk.

Now, this is a head-to-head asymmetrical game where one of you plays a witch hunter and the other one plays a witch.

However, not to be confused with the real-life situation of witch-hunts in which a bunch of mostly men murdered women for no reason.

In this you've got actual witches who can actually do spells, which means you're a danger to these people,

which makes the game more fun than just being someone who's running away from spurned men who are trying to burn them. In this game, you're going to be both drawing cards from your own unique little piles of

cards to do things with, and if you're a witch, you're going to be getting familiars,

you're going to be brewing potions, and if you're not a witch and your auntie, you're going

to be trying to gain allies, build establishments, and get a good foothold on the town.
