Summary
The 2016 Kidnapping Hoax Carried Out By Northern California Wife & Mother Sherri Papini.
On November 2, 2016 while out on a job, 34 year old Sherri Papini inexplicably went missing while on a jog. When her husband Keith arrived home to find nobody there, he immediately began looking for Sherri. Using the Find My iPhone app, he pinged her location, which showed her phone to be near their mailboxes. He found Sherri's phone, her earbuds, some of her blonde hair, but no sign of Sherri. For 22 days there was no word from Sherri, that is until she miraculously reappeared on Thanksgiving Day. And what happened to Sherri remained a mystery until 2020 when DNA found on Sherri's clothing when she was found was matched to an old boyfriend of hers named James Reyes, who ended up confessing to that the whole thing was a hoax Sherri came up with because she was cheating on her husband and probably didn't like him very much if she was willing to go to the lengths she went to just to get a break from him.
