There are so many ways in which male and female bodies differ in the boxing ring.

And course male punching power is more than double female punching power, even at a matched weight.

And that was never controversial, was it?

That's why almost every sport separates male and female

so that we can celebrate the best men and the best women.

I'm quite hopeful that people are beginning to understand that it's not that we all

want to bang on about trans rights and why are we spending so much time worrying about a tiny

minority it's that actually women we are full human beings too.

The IOC might not care very much about women's sport,

or some people might not care about women's sport,

but it matters to us.

It's great to have you on this week, this somewhat controversial week in relation to things that are happening at the Olympics, particularly in women's boxing.

And I was very keen to speak to you in your capacity as Director of Campaigns at Sex Matters and previously the excellent work that you've been doing at fair play for women,

both of which are organisations that explore the ways in which gender ideology harms women's rights,

women's safety and in relation to some of what we're talking about today, women's sports.

So there's a lot to talk about, there's a lot to chew over I think, and I want to kick off with the question of the moment. A lot of people around the world are talking about it, which is the fact that at the Paris

2024 Olympics there are two boxers in the women's category who many of us

believe don't belong there there's imanaleh from Algeria and Lynn Yu Ting from Taiwan, both of whom have failed
