Welcome to the Bible Study. I'm Stephen Lawson, president of One Passion Ministries.

And each week I will teach verse by verse through the passage of scripture so that you can better understand the word of God

and put it into practice in your life. Join me now as we look together into this

section of the Bible. So let's hop right into this and I want to begin in a word of prayer. So Father, we are

so grateful that we're not asleep and in bed. We're so grateful that we're not

lost and perishing. We're so grateful that we're not without hope, but that you have done a work in our hearts and

brought us to yourself by your spirit and you have called us to Christ and we have put our faith and our trust in Christ

alone and our lives have been dramatically changed.

And so there's now a hunger in our heart to know your word

because we know that when the Bible speaks you speak. So give us ears

to hear eyes to see today for the purpose that we might grow spiritually and become more like Christ.

So help us to apply what we will look at today.

The prayer is pray this in Christ's name, Amen.

Okay, men.

We are in 3rd John, and as I was walking around before we started just a second ago a couple of men said you know I've

never been in a study of third John and I've never been in a study of third John I've

read it but just kind of bounced off and moved on to Jude and to get to

revelation and so for me this is the first time I've really like really walked the land and been at ground zero in

third John and because it's the word of God it is so profitable for our spiritual lives.

And there is a joy of discovery,

of learning things in a passage of scripture

that you've not previously studied.
