Summary

As of February 2000, High School sweethearts Nick Kunselman and Stephanie Hart-Grizzell had been together for two years and, by all accounts, were madly in love and wanted to stay together forever. The two had survived the Columbine school shooting only 10 months prior in April 1999, and by all accounts, their shared experience had only made the two grow closer. However, early in the morning on Valentine’s Day in the year 2000, Stephanie and Nick were discovered murdered at the Subway location Nick worked at in Littleton, Colorado. For a community still healing from one of the most infamous mass shootings in history, their murders only made that wound deeper. And what’s worse, their murders are still unsolved to this day.

0:24.7	looking at a case that is very close to home for all of us, literally very close. And this case
0:30.8	is unsolved to this day. We're going to be talking about the Valentine's Day murders of
0:36.3	Stephanie Hart Griselle and
0:37.8	Nick Kuntselman.
0:39.3	In this case, I'll warn you ahead of time, very frustrating and confusing.
0:43.9	It just leaves you like what the, I probably shouldn't cuss in the first 30 seconds.

0:52.1	What the hell happened here?
1:03.3	It's frustrating because this, so the murders take place in a subway restaurant, the subway franchise, and they were shot to death. They were found on the morning of Valentine's Day.
1:09.1	And you would think that there would be
1:11.7	loads of evidence to be collected at the scene. And they definitely collected loads of evidence.
1:16.6	But out of that evidence, it seems like very little led to a suspect. And then the suspect was even
1:25.0	seen by another employee that happened to be there in the early morning hours.
1:28.9	Potential suspect.
1:30.0	Potential suspect, yeah.
1:31.9	And there's just nothing.
1:34.1	They've never been able to track down this individual who they believe is their suspect.
1:39.8	And this is now 20 plus years later.
1:43.6	And we're still trying to figure out what happened.
1:45.6	In this case, Stephanie's mother, Kelly Griselle, is, I can imagine the anguish and just agony of this going on for so long.
