We took a little bit of a break at the end of July as we always do every year, but now kids are starting to get back to school, SLPs are starting to get back in the group of summer coming to an end.

So I'm really excited for this episode.

Odolaryngology head and neck surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and adjunct

associate professor of physical medicine in rehab and

pulmonary and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University.

His research is funded by the NIH studying the effects of critical illness and

critical care medicine on swallowing and the airway.

And Dr. Deb Souter is the director of the Voice and Swallow Clinic and

professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of

Kentucky. Her research and clinical work focused on the assessment of adults with

swallowing disorders.

She's a board certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders

and a fellow of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
