Summary

One of the things that is most challenging for salon owners right now is attracting top tier stylists, and let me tell you, it’s because those stylists are looking for something different than they were just a few short years ago! I want to talk about how you’re operating your salon to not only attract the best stylists, but to also retain the key team members so they don’t want to make a move elsewhere, and it all starts with rethinking stylist goals and benchmarks for raises and promotions.

In this episode, I share the key performance indicators (KPIs) that will always make sense in our industry, the ones that are dated, and what to consider when it comes to your marketing, core values, and more.

I really want you to think about how you’re evaluating your team, and if you’re evaluating them on the metrics that actually determine the health of your business. If your promotion and evaluation structure is motivating you’ll have a much better chance in attracting and retaining top talent, and remember that your actions determine the outcome. So make sure that yours are aligned, and I hope this episode puts you on the right track to do so!

Do you have a question for me that you’d like answered in a future episode? A great way to do that is to head over to Apple Podcasts and leave a rating and review with your question. I'm looking forward to answering your question on a future episode on the podcast!

If you’re not already following us, @thethrivingstylist, what are you waiting for? This is where I share pro tips every single week, along with winning strategies, testimonials, and amazing breakthroughs from my audience. You’re not going to want to miss out on this.
