I had a reader recently tell me

she's been reading my content

since she was 17 years old, and now she's 28.

That tracks because this January marks 19 years that I've been writing on the internet, as well as

books and other things, but that's a full four years before Instagram even existed.

And back when TikTok was just a sound the clock made.

Through all the changes and how we create and consume content, all of the iterations of my own

work, voice, and writing style, one thing has remained constant, which is the main reason I do this work.

It's to help create space for your soul to breathe. I don't even know if I

fully knew what that meant when I first said it, but here I am nearly 20 years later still
