0:57.3 | what's going on so back in the spring I did some turkey hunting in Texas and I had a friend. |
1:10.0 | One of the places that I hunted in Texas was a friend of mine, whom I met through another friend of mine that actually works for this family. And they had told me that they were interested in |
1:25.5 | purchasing a ranch in either Utah or Colorado for elk and mule deer and so I thought that was neat. I didn't really think much about it. |
1:38.0 | But this summer I got a call from this gentleman and he had told me that he had indeed put a |
1:47.2 | ranch in Colorado in escrow and was scheduled to close in September. |
1:54.8 | And he had at that time asked me if I would be interested in being the hunt manager or hunt director or ranch manager, whatever you want to call it. |
2:10.0 | And so I came over in August and looked at the property. |
2:15.0 | And it's about 40,000 contiguous deeded acres. |
2:21.0 | And it's a really nice beautiful property. |
2:25.0 | So when I came over in August, my initial impressions of the ranch were |
2:31.0 | it's opinion, of opinion juniper country some ponderosa pine |
2:40.8 | and very few aspens but there are some aspengroves on the property. |
2:47.0 | The elevation runs roughly from about 7,000 feet up to just under 10,000 feet to give you guys kind of of a perspective of the ranch. |
3:04.0 | And the ranch is actually, the original ranch was about 56,000 acres and the portion that my friend was buying is about 40,000 acres of that property. |
3:22.0 | And the property is fairly thick there's quite a bit like I said opinion |
3:29.3 | juniper country and then on up into Ponderosa Pine country. |
