Summary

There is a college student laying down on the hospital bed. She’s staring up at the ceiling in distress as someone records her silently from the corner of the room. “I’m going to have such a long day tomorrow - I’m not going to answer anyone’s Snapchats!” The person recording does not respond. “Well, you’re too quiet. I’m going to start singing since I hate the quiet.” The girl gets up in the hospital bed to perform Justin Bieber’s “Intentions.” She’s whipping her head around like she’s giving a stage performance on tour. She just doesn’t understand why the man in the room with her is so stiff. Loosen up. Have some fun. He snaps at her - “you want me to be honest with you? You’re going to jail. You don’t have bond. You killed two people tonight. That’s what’s going on. So no, you’re not going to school tomorrow.” This is the case of Stephanie Melgoza - the college student who killed two people and proceeded to complain the whole time about how she needed to go to class, told the officers about how excited she was for her Vegas trip, and sang songs at the crime scene. Like one second your baby can't walk, then suddenly they can.

0:11.5

With ADT, I don't have to worry about what could happen in a second.

0:14.8

ADT offers 24-7 monitoring that helps me feel safe and secure in my home. I used to feel

0:20.9

so anxious over the idea that if a carbon monoxide leak happened

0:24.8

I wouldn't even know.

0:25.8

I would constantly check to make sure my oven was off, that my gas stove range knobs were

0:30.3

all positioned all the way, but that doesn't even account for things that I can't really check, like a gas line leak.

0:36.0

The idea that I could just be inhaling the poisonous gas without even knowing used to make me double check everything.

0:41.0

But now, ADT helps keep track of that for me.

0:44.5

They can help detect carbon monoxide leaks,

0:46.7

if a burglary happens, or if a fire breaks out.

0:49.2

It's why I can't recommend ADT enough,

0:51.1

because the second is enough for anything to happen.

0:54.0

One second you're questioning if asking that guy for his number with the right move and in the

next second you get a text message from him, the next second you're married to, okay that's

1:02.1

just me. And when it comes to your home one second you're married to, okay that's just me.

1:02.6

And when it comes to your home, one second you feel safe,

and the next, even if something does happen,

you still feel safe, thanks to ADT.
