Father God, pray for the Holy Sp- It's all about Jesus.

Father God, pray for the Holy Spirit to lead us, to guide us, to help us to encourage us. Lord, there are people in the room who have wisdom to give. They have life experience, they have insight, that would really benefit others.

I pray that they would be so kind and generous as to share the things that you have entrusted to them.

Each of us, Lord, also has areas of our lives

where we need to learn, we need to grow.

There are things that we don't know, we don't understand,

or we keep doing something, and it's not producing the results that you would have for us and so would you please give us as well the humility to receive instruction and correction and counsel.

And so Holy Spirit we invite you is as really the source of old wisdom

to bring us wisdom so that we might live lives that increasingly look like

the wisest person who's ever lived. His name is Jesus and it's in his name we ask these things

Amen well what tends to happen in life is you sort of figure out how it works and then your life season transitions and you realize you are not

ready for that transition. I could still remember when I was in high school I was

most likely to succeed student body president, four-year letterman, man of the year, and I thought, well, you know, I'm obviously ready to transition to the next season of life.

So go off to college, and I remember going to write my first check, and I realized I don't know what to put in the blanks.

We never covered that in high school.

And I remember thinking, well there's all the, I'm a total stranger stranger I don't know any of these people I

wonder which ones I should have a relationship with but I didn't even I didn't know how to

pick a friend or what a good friend was or was not and there's a lot of you know

gals running around and I'm dating a gal back at home and I didn't know, well,
