The Hello and welcome to me the episode at number 426 of real-life ghost stories, and I have two spooky stories for you today, and the last story comes from the 26th of November 2024.

And story number one comes from Nicolette. I've always felt a bit more sensitive to

the paranormal. As a child, I had good feelings about people I met and often experienced

deja vu or dreams coming true. I'd like to focus on those few happenings. Hopefully I never

experience anything other than what has already happened,

or if they do happen again, I hope they continue in the positive ways I've had so far.

First as a kid, I always knew when someone's energy was off or felt wrong. I would always get anxious

and feel the urge to flee and crawl the walls when I met someone

whose energy was off. For example, I played in a string quartet in middle school. I was around 13 years

old and began playing paid gigs at the time. My quartet was booked for a wedding to a woman that

my mom knew at work. We met with her to discuss the musical selections during the

ceremony, and everyone was falling all over themselves saying how nice she was. She was pretty,

smiley, and seemed like an easy bride to work with. I, however, couldn't stand this person.

I kept telling my mom, I don't like her. I don't know why, but I don't.

My mom choked it up to me being strong-willed and opinionated, something I've always been,

and ignored me. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and we're enjoying our time playing.

There were no issues during the ceremony. The gig comes to an end and we're invited to take part in the dinner, which we knew about ahead of time. As we're eating, a bridal party member comes to check on us and the leader of the quartet asks for our payment. Puzzled the bridal party members circles back to the bride who gave an excuse about why she couldn't pay us that

day. The exact reason alludes me, but she said something like she forgot her checkbook, so we left her

an address to mail our payment. We waited for weeks and never got paid for our services. The bride

didn't return our calls and we eventually gave up on payment for that gig.

Somehow my gut was telling me that this woman wasn't to be trusted and I was right.
