The Hello and welcome to mini episode number 428 of real life ghost stories and I have three spooky

stories for you today and the last story comes from December the 2nd, 2024 and story number one

comes from Ashling. Our childhood home was just your standard house in Dublin,

but I was forever afraid walking up the stairs, but only on the higher steps, as this is where I knew

the man with the hat could get me. It was an older man in black with a hat tall and slim, quiet but eerie.

I would get my older sister to walk with me,

or if I needed a drink at night I would wake her up to walk down as I was too afraid.

One night I was getting sick. I needed a drink. I was young enough,

but I just thought, I can't wake my sister again.

The next thing, the man appeared to me, took off his hat, put his hand on my head and said,

I won't scare you tonight.

It was so scary. I got my water and went back to bed.

After that night, I no longer got the sense of a presence

around me in the house. Separate and more recent I was in Dublin and if you are familiar the

spire is a popular place to meet. I was waiting for a friend who was walking up one of the streets

to meet me there. The next thing I hear my name

being called from behind me. I was looking in the direction she was coming from, so I looked and she

wasn't there. I proceeded to walk around the spire thinking she was just messing trying to give me a

fright. So I text asking where she was, and she was just coming up Talbot Street.

A mimic, maybe.

Either way, I got such a fright.
