How does a book serve the church?

Yeah.

So we have kind of a set of questions that we ask in our publishing meeting. And kind of the first,

the first gate, so to speak, is does this reflect our theological commitments? So is this,

is this book true? Is it biblical? So I think that's, that's the first big metric. So if what you're saying is false biblically,

then it doesn't really matter how well you say it. It doesn't really matter how clear you are.

What you're saying is not true. It's not biblical. So that's kind of the first big metric that we have.

But beyond that, there are other ways that I think a book can serve the church.

And I think one way that a book can serve the church and many of our books are just so exemplary

in this way is to be clear. I think there's a lot of, and I know this myself as a writer, there is a perennial temptation

to not do the extra work as a writer that will help your readers really understand what

you're talking about. Because if, you know, if you're a writer and you've been working on

this topic for years, and you know this,

you just get accustomed to a certain level of thinking about it.

And so you can be in your own head for years.
