And the question is, what do we make of those who would prefer to address God as mother?

Well, how do we respond to those who would prefer to address God as mother?

Or might in fact say, well, we can address God as both father and mother, or even go so

far as one kind of Christian-ish sect is now saying and say, well, there's probably two

gods.

Or they don't say probably is.

There's a woman god and a man god, a mother god and a father god.
