Well, here's the question we want to look at next.

What is the problem with marriage?

What's the problem?

If you've immediately said, my spouse, you've got the wrong answer.

But that's instinctive for us, isn't it?

If I'm sitting with a married couple that has a conflictual, angry, chaotic marriage, and

I ask the husband what's wrong with his marriage, who do you think he's going to talk

about?

And if I ask the wife what she thinks is wrong with her marriage, who do you think he's going to talk about? And if I ask the wife what she thinks is wrong with her

marriage, who do you think she's going to talk about? Now think about that. At that point, as their

helper, I'm out of a job. Do you get why I say that? Because I don't actually have any seekers in the

room.

The wife is just there to get her husband fixed, and the husband's just there to get his wife fixed, and no one actually thinks they need help. How can you have two utterly righteous people
