It's embarrassing, just thinking about it.

We get into relationships because they're all about give and take.

There are things that we want to get out of a relationship, but you can't just say,

I want cash, or I want your love, or appreciate me.

Well, you can, but it's not likely to work.

You need to build a relationship slowly in a way that is not going to invite rejection.

So you do that by giving first, and then when you give, you would do best to give in a different way along a different dimension than you withdraw.

Make your deposits to a relationship different from your withdrawals.
