that some of you may know about. His name is Jay Stringer and he is the author of the book Unwanted.

He's also a licensed mental health counselor and he was on Job with Julie a number years ago

talking about his book Unwanted. That book I think has been transformational for many people

and it's one that I often recommend. Well in the years since Jay wrote that book he's continued

to meet with clients, he's created courses, as you'll hear in our conversation, he and I are

often speaking at the same events. Just trying to help change the landscape of how the church

addresses sexual issues. No Jay's passion is really to look at our sexual struggles or unwanted

sexual desire and find out how the threads of even our childhood and wounds we've experienced

play into that and encourage us to really seek a more holistic approach to what it means to honor

God with our sexuality. Not just by changing our behavior but really inviting God into our wounds

project that will lead to a new book and he's studying the complexity of our desires, really looking

at what are good desires, what are unwanted desires, how does that play out in sexuality and relationships.
