I'm Ian Dale, as you probably know by now,

but we have another guest host with us today. Some of you will know her, particularly viewers of

GB News, which she is on virtually permanently, it seems to me, not that I ever watch it, but

and it is Scarlett Maguire. How the devil are you?

I'm very well. Of course, I have spent the whole weekend, Ian, worrying about your health.

It's my main concern.

Haven't we all?

I know. Actually, I haven't.

You are getting better, aren't you?

Well, I had the operation on Friday, and I mean, it was a little bit of a palava it has to be said because I was delivered at

seven o'clock in the morning which as you can imagine John was absolutely thrilled to deliver me

to the hospital at that time of the morning and I went down to have the anaesthetic about

quarter past eight and obviously that was the last thing I remembered. And then I woke up, I don't know,

I think it was about quarter past 11. I remember sort of being vaguely conscious. And then the

anaesthetist came to see me a bit later. And he told me that it had been rather more dramatic than

they had expected. And that at one stage, the surgeon had almost decided to abandon the operation.

And instead of having keyhole surgery,

it would have to be opened up because there was so much gung and sludge

sort of floating around in my stomach.

So why is this?
