since they are working on their attitudes toward my identity. It has been challenging and I often

feel a lot of hurt and betrayal within my relationship

with both of them. These feelings have recently been amplified when I learned that my mom had voted

for Trump. So I ask, how can I or can I balance boundaries with my parents while also upholding

my own dignity as a human being.
