Eating Disorders Comorbid with ADHD what you need to know about arfeid

anorexia, and others.

This week is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week.

To recognize this important issue, Attitude has partnered with the National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders

to bring you today's presentation.

The National Center is the nation's first center of excellence dedicated to eating disorders.

It was founded in 2018 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Its mission to improve the education and training that health care providers

receive and to promote public awareness of and treatment for eating disorders.

Leading today's presentation is Dr. Christine Pete.

She's the director of the National Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders.

Dr Pete is also an associate professor of psychiatry at the

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a licensed psychologist. At

UNC she serves patients with eating disorders, supports health care providers in the

UNC Well-being program, and provides behavioral medicine interventions to patients in various medical settings.

In today's webinar, we'll talk about the symptoms and treatments for different types of eating

disorders.

Research has mainly focused on eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder.

Others including Avoidant Restrict food intake disorder or our FID are understudied in comparison.

Our expert will talk about these relatively new diagnoses, how to address eating disorders in people with ADHD,
