Summary

Bourgeois acoustic guitars are stunning. The problem? They come in so many models and customizable options. In this video, I'll go over the 5 Bourgeois Guitars that are sure to knock your socks off. Bourgeois Guitars, based in Maine, make about 400 guitars a year. Started By Dana Bourgeois, their small team is dedicated to quality, tone, and consistency. The result? Some of the consistently best guitars I've ever played. In the comments below, be sure to let me know which Bourgeois Guitar you're most excited to try. If you're lucky enough to have played one, which one was your favorite? Your comment might just be featured in a future episode of Acoustic Tuesday! In addition, I'd love to feature you in an upcoming episode with your guitarsenal! It's easy and quick, and you end up supporting Guitars 4 Vets, a music rehabilitation group for veterans in the US. episode. We'll get to all that here in just a bit, but first, my five favorite bourgeois guitars. And coming in at number five is a guitar from my very own collection. It is this guitar. It is a large sound hole OMC, OM body size cutaway with a, well, a large sound hole. You've got an aged tone Sitka spruce top,

and on the back we have a beautiful piece of figured mahogany. This guitar is comfortable to play,

and I use it in particular with alternate tunings. More darker alternate tunings. I like using it

with Dadgad. I like using it with minor tunings

1:45.7

because there's not a lot of overtones on this particular guitar. It's dry, it's woody, and it's

very direct, making it a perfect match for finger picks, making it a perfect match for those

custom OMSC. This is a guitar that I had designed specifically for alternate tunings, lower

alternate tunings. In fact, right now I have it in a

C tuning. And it's just lush and beautiful. It has this wonderful bloom and it has a ton of overtones.

2:44.2

And that was really the whole idea. It's got an agedone Italian spruce top. It has Coca-Bolo back in sides.

2:51.6

It does indeed have a shorter scale length, a wider nut, and a cutaway.

2:56.6

And I have to tell you, this is one of my favorite guitars to play because of its comfort
