Admiral Stofridis is on discuss his new book, The Restless Wave, a novel of the US Navy.

His previous appearance is focused on his works of near futuristic

fiction, 2034 and 2054, that looked at the biggest issues of the 21st century,

those being geopolitics when it comes to the

U.S. China relationship, and of course the development of new technologies through

the lens of fiction to look at today's issues in a way that could allow for a lot of exploration of different challenges posed

by those two topics.

With the restless wave, though, he's focused on the past.

We're going back to America in the 1930s that through the lens of the Navy we can look at the

challenges were presented by the coming World War II era, a mix of the country that was still in the

middle of the Great Depression. In many ways this episode is a great companion to last week episode. the
