Hello my name is Alex Campbell. It's great to join you I live here in East Tennessee.

How you doing Alex and what do you do for a living?

So I'm a high school social studies teacher.

Social studies I think I remember what that is. I was in high school once many many moons ago.

So what school are you at?

Yeah, so I teach at a little rural high school about 900 students here in the

Appalachian Mountains. It's Elizabethan High School.

And what does that mean?

Yeah, so, um, Elizabethan is the name of our town and so it was named after actually the founders of our county. Her name was Elizabeth Carter.

Oh. So they named the county, I mean excuse me, the county, Carter County and the

city got named Elizabeth, Elizabethan in honor of her.

And sometimes ladies who were named Elizabeth go by Betsy.

And so sometimes people just call Elizabethan Betsytown.

Okay.

Yeah.

All right, that's very complicated for me.
