At around 10 p.m. his 16 year old girlfriend Stephanie Hark Riselle showed up to hang out as Nick closed down the store.

At around 1245 a.m. on what was now February 14th

another subway employee drove by and noticed that the store lights were still on.

She decided to stop and when she went inside she found Nick and Stephanie behind the

counter, both dead from gunshot wounds. The young couple's murders shook the community especially since both teenagers had survived the Columbine

High School massacre just 10 months prior. Despite a thorough investigation,

no motive or suspects have been identified, leaving two families

desperate for answers.
