Hey everyone. Welcome back to the show. Today's guest is Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy.

For those of you that study and follow American politics and policy, you'll be aware of the

fact that he's been at the center of this country's debate over guns ever since the Sandy Hook shooting back in the 2010s.

He has, however, but involved recently in another intellectual project near and dear to the heart of this show.

He's looking into this question of, to what degree does the increasing amount of loneliness,

the increasing lack of meaning, and this broader spiritual crisis, as many have described

it, the result of America's economic system and the overall breakdown in the neoliberal

world order that's affecting countries across the developed world. So in this conversation,

we get into a bunch of big topics, everything from to what degree is there a race between the right and left to be more populist and to a little more outcomes

for this up for grabs body in this country's politics.

And then we, of course, then get into this other broader question of what that actual

agenda should look like as we look at these issues moving forward in the wake of Donald

Trump's 2024 election.
