My name is Kathy Canning Mallow.

I'm a retired profiler.

And I'm here today with my dear colleague, Jim Clemente,

and a special guest, Mark Harrison. Hi, I'm Jim Clementi, retired FBI profiler, former New York

City prosecutor and writer, producer of criminal minds. And with us today is Mark Harrison.

And who are you, Mark?

So I'm a 35-year veteran of policing, but also a praacademic, a bit of a academic as well.

So a bit of both.

Never heard that term before.

I know either.

So just for background, Mark and I have known each other for a very long time.

Back to my days in the BAU gym, Mark and his team helped us out with several missing child investigations

when Mark was working with our K-9 teams, our ERT teams,

Rex Stockham at the time, rest in peace, was trying to improve the credibility of the ERT or FBI

K-9 team. So it was a months-long process where they were trying to improve the science behind

canines. And Mark also has a background. When we worked with him, he was working with the UK as

their lead search advisor. And he has a great deal of experience and expertise in geo-forensics, which we want to talk about today,

some really cool high-tech capabilities now in searching.

So I'd love to get into that, as well as the canines.
