Today on the show we'll be discussing the new Alex Garland movie Civil War

about a Civil War breaking out in modern day America.

And this will involve spoilers for everything in Civil War,

so just be aware of that, and I'm joined by two guests.

So first up we've got Mike Cole, making his sixth appearance on the show. He's the author of military fantasy novels such as Shadow Ops Control Point, epic fantasy novels such as The Armored Saint, and military history books such as Legion v Valenks.

After a career hunting people in the military, police, and intelligence services, he put those skills to use on two TV shows, the Fugitive Hunting Show Hunted and the UFO hunting show Contact.

His most recent books are The Bronze Lie,

shattering the myth of Spartan Warrior Supremacy

and The Killing Ground, a biography of Thermopylae,

which he wrote with Michael Livingston.
