Summary

Life is more difficult than we would like it to be. It comes with challenges we didn't imagine, decisions we would prefer not to face, and sometimes rejection and resistance because of our alignment with Jesus. In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses Jesus’ time spent in synagogues. In the Gospel of Luke, we see a pattern emerge as Jesus travels from town to town spreading His message: He faces much resistance and rejection, but He remains bold in the face of persecution. From Luke’s Gospel, Pastor Allen shows us what we can expect today as we follow Jesus. Are we ready to have a confrontational faith?

1:07.0	We've been working through this study in the Gospel of Luke. I'm just about to, I'm going to take a break. I want to come back
1:16.7	and do something similar I think with the Book of Acts, but I think this is the 12th session with Luke. We've lived with Luke for several weeks. I hope you've read it.
1:26.1	I'll extend you that invitation one more time. If you've ignored me up to this point,
1:30.4	it's only 24 chapters. The chapters are not 10 and 12 pages long. Most of the chapters are not more than a page or two at the most.
1:42.0	So while it sounds intimidating and in terms of reading
1:44.8	biblical passages maybe it seems long but truthfully you can read the entire
1:48.8	Gospel of Luke in less time that it takes to watch a ball game or a movie.
