An executive order restricts asylum claims and directs the departments of Homeland Security,

justice, and state to take all necessary action

to immediately repel, repatriate, and remove illegal immigrants. President Trump says are

involved in an invasion. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says the president will use every

lever of executive power to secure the border. This is the number one promise that he made to the

American people on the campaign trail. And with this action today and the many actions that he

took on day one in the Oval Office, he is delivering on that promise. And Democratic Congressman

Jerry Nadler calls it a return to harsh and inhumane immigration policies. The Lake and Riley Act is heading to President Trump's desk,

winning final approval with bipartisan support,

though some Democrats argue it could lead to violations of due process rights.

A deadly school shooting under investigation in Tennessee. Police in

Nashville say a 17-year-old male student armed with a pistol opened fire around 11 a.m. local time

inside a busy cafeteria at Antioch High School. The individual wounded two other students, one of them

fatally before shooting and killing himself. There is no danger

at the school. Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron were also told that school resource officers
