There's just something about the vibe. anything really tangible.

Today's guest is that guy.

His name's Mark Jacobi. He lives here in town. He's been here a long time. I guess he's an old-timer. I guess you would say he's one of the Crestone elders, but he's not much older than me, so it's not about age, it's about how long

you've been here in this particular town.

He's been here a long time.

He's definitely paid his dues. I'm going to have his wife on at some

point. She's also, they came here together a long time ago and both of them have been

involved in a lot of what's been going on in the

valley his wife in particular is very politically active and has done a lot of work defending the water rights in the valley and let me tell you in the high desert if you don't have water you don't have shit.

So she's an important character, but Mark is, he's got the kind of face that just makes you feel comfortable.

It makes you feel like this guy's seen a lot.

He's been around and he hasn't lost his spark, hasn't lost his juice. He's not jaded, he's not bitter, he's sweet and kind, but he's also

not oblivious, he knows what's going on.

And there's some real wisdom in that

in maintaining positivity and just happiness as sort of a base foundational state of consciousness

without sacrificing knowledge and awareness of what's happening in the world.

And he's managed to do it.
