We're sitting here at 8,000 feet.

The air is thin.

The weather is amazing.

I saw rainbows, like big-ass double brilliant crazy rainbows

Three days in a row last week.

Like just in our backyard.

Incredible.

This place is just that if you're into weather, move to the mountains.

Holy shit, it's just constantly happening. We were working,

built this room on the front of the house like a mudroom with an outdoor shower and a little bathroom

situation there and we're trying to we're waiting for two or three days in a row without rain so we could get the roof on.

We had it dried in, we had this like impermeable stuff on the tongue and groove, but we had to put down the insulation and then get the metal roofing over it.

And we didn't want the insulation to get wet because it can get kind of moldy, whatever.

So we were waiting for, you know, three days in a row

with no rain forecasted.

And we're in kind of a monsoon period here.

So it's raining every afternoon afternoon these big clouds would come in and it would rain the sun's low in the sky that's why you get these crazy rainbows really beautiful finally there are a few days with zero percent

the forecast precipitation. So we get to work on this and the last day we're trying to put the last of the flashing in against the side of the house

and the purple clouds come rolling in and it's a fucking hailsorm like crazy and Jay who's was

doing the work up there was trying to get this last piece of roofing down and it's you know marble-sized
