Welcome to tangentially speaking.

This episode is with my cousin, David Nance, who is, I think he said he was 14, but he's like 6-2.

He doesn't look like a 14-year-old.

I don't know what's going on with the world, what's in the food these days.

But yeah, all his siblings are big.

His mom and dad are big.

He's a big dude.

And as you'll hear, he's also a big dude mentally, emotionally.

He's a really good dude.

He's, as they say in our conversation, it's interesting because, you know, with family, you can know

know someone their whole life without knowing them at all.

You know, especially the younger members of the family.

You know, you sort of see them as infants.

And, you know, every time I go to visit, I would see him and he's growing up and I have a sense of who he is,

but I've never hung out and just talked with him about life and what he wants and what he imagines

for the future and all that kind of stuff.

And one of the many great things about having a podcast is it gives you a reason to say,

hey, do you want to just hang out and talk for a while and we'll do this podcast? And I mean,

I don't even give a shit if I post it. It's just a chance to connect with somebody in a meaningful

way with the phones put away and no interruptions. And, you you know let's just take an hour and get to

know each other a little bit and I've always wanted to do this with him because as it like
