Everyone, Vancouver Radio, how on earth are you doing? I really do hope today's show works

because I've just plugged in a new microphone. And Tom has told me it's working okay and

I've just put all this new fancy, it's not that fancy, it's basically phone pads, sound

proofing in my office. So we might get to the end of this podcast and there's not actually

any audio. I can just hear myself speaking and Zoom hasn't sorted it out but Tom is joining

me today, right Tom? Yeah, I've been. I think it sounded pretty good. I need to get some

of those egg boxings to stick around this room because if anyone who knows anything about

audio design, what you want is nice soft surroundings which absorb it and you don't get

any echo and I'm essentially sat in a wooden box. So it would probably benefit me to get

some of that stuff. But no, it sounds really good. Sounds like a good mic.

I think it's about 25 pounds for 12 squares of foam and I ended up buying 36. I'm going

to buy a little bit more and put a few on my ceiling. But it sounded pretty good. Hopefully

it sounded better. And you, the podcaster, maybe you can let me know, drop me a message on

the ground or something and say, Hey Ben, God, your sound was so amazing this week man.

Well, yeah, let me know if my sounds crap as well then I'll invest in some form.

So today's podcast topic, we're going to deliberate and talk about ourselves too much

because that's boring. We're looking at a recent study between organic and non-organic

food and we want to widen the conversation around it based on sort of study design and

how people try and research and what people take away from research. As you all know from

previous conversations on this show, we like to look at what we're trying to understand

as people, what we're trying to take away from research and how to actually be researchers

because it's not a straightforward, you know, if we read something online that is said
