Summary

Dive into our conversation with Ana Lorena Febrega, known for her work in changing how we think about teaching and learning.

Ana, who worked closely with Synthesis, shares her journey from being a student across the globe to pushing the boundaries of education beyond traditional methods. She talks about the need for creativity, curiosity, and the ability to think critically from a young age.

Ana discusses Synthesis's role, inspired by Elon Musk's school at SpaceX, in creating education that fits the future's needs. She talks about soft skills, learning from failure, and project-based education as keys to preparing kids for a world that's always changing.

For parents and teachers wanting to bring new ways of learning into children's education, Ana gives solid advice. She stresses the importance of letting kids have control, make mistakes, and explore their interests deeply.

This chat is packed with ideas for anyone interested in giving children tools to succeed in tomorrow’s world.

Ana Lorena Fábrega is an author, edupreneur, and Chief Evangelist at Synthesis, the education company scaling up the best ideas from Elon Musk’s lab school at SpaceX. Growing up, she attended ten schools in seven different countries. She then earned her BS in Childhood Education and Special Education from New York University and taught elementary school in New York, Boston, and Panama. Today, Ana Lorena writes online to over 300,000 readers about the promise of alternative education.
