You're kind of the enforcer of the birth plan, but you're also the protector of mom.

So it's your job to make sure that whatever she desires happens and to be in communication

with her along the way. It doesn't look like you're going to be asking her a bunch of questions,

especially things she has to say more than a yes, no to. But you do want to be able to check in with her in some way. And so that

communication, hopefully you guys are good at that before labor begins, but you'll be able to tell

by her body language, you know her best. And when certain things are being recommended or said,

you can pick up on how she's feeling and what she means.
