So I'm a veteran, but this story takes place when I was still as active duty in the military.

I was at the store, and out of the corner of my eye, I see these two boys.

They're about 10 to 12.

You know, at first I didn't think anything of it, but I saw one of them look at me.

Then I saw them whispering to each other.

And I just was like, what are you doing?

Okay, let me get out of this aisle.

And then they both walk over to me, and one of the the boys says we just want to thank you for your service

and anything I was thinking just disappeared from my brain and all I could do is just

smile at them and say well thank you for coming up here and saying so and they just gave them the

biggest smile and they walked on their way.
