So what advice would you give, like, young girls who have dreams of playing sports professionally?

I think, gosh, there's a few parts of it, I would say, on the physical side, that loving your body,

taking care of your body is so important and really, with the right foods, real foods, enough food, drinking water, all of those things.

Like, we need to be strong. You don't want to get sick. You don't want to get an injury.

Like, it can be so hard to come back from that at a young age.

She was born and raised in Los Angeles.

But soccer has taken her all over the world. She currently captains the New Zealand national team and Angel City FC. She's represented New Zealand at five FIFA World Cups and four Olympic Games. In 2023, she led the New Zealand national team to the country's first ever World Cup win, and she's now the captain for Angel City in Los Angeles.

Hi, good, thank you. I'm so excited to be on your podcast. Yeah, welcome. We're super excited to have you. So for those listening, I'll just like give us a little brief intro. Like, I want to know how you got into soccer. Was it always soccer? Were you playing other sports growing up? Like, give me the sports background. Well, it has been soccer for a very long time.
