Trump was a perfect aesthetic encapsulation of white liberal elite angst about what the working class

wanted. He gave liberals the sense of like, oh, our worst fears are true. And they totally missed

what Trump was about, which was the hunger for economic populism and just the despair of the

working class, though the number one predictor for whether accounting would go for Trump was how

many deaths of despair it saw from from opioid addiction, from overdoses. And so this despairing

working class like they did see in him a tribune because he offended the people who had so much
