This is a Fox News alert, a deadly crash in New York's Hudson River. I'm Lee Silasara. Everyone on board a sightseeing helicopter has died when the chopper crashed shortly after takeoff this afternoon. New York City Police and fire crews responded to an area of the Manhattan waterfront just after 3 p.m. to find the wreckage of the helicopter.

According to Mayor Eric Adams, all six people on board died.

Three children were among those killed. Witnesses reported a thumping sound, indicating an issue with the helicopter's

rotor blades. The helicopter was a Bell 206 model that can carry up to seven people. The FAA and the

NTSB are involved in this investigation. Fox is Colonel Scott. This is an American Airlines plane

carrying several members of Congress at Reagan National Airport was clipped on the taxiway with a wingtip of another American Airlines plane. Both planes returned to the gate.
