Talks with Iran, constructive.

That's what the White House says about today's first round of talks about Tehran's nuclear program,

as Fox's Lucas Tomlinson reports from the White House.

Ron's foreign minister called the discussions constructive and promising.

Oman's top diplomat who hosted both leaders in Oman said, quote,

I would like to thank my two colleagues for this engagement,

which took place in a friendly atmosphere conducive to bridging viewpoints

and ultimately achieving regional and global peace, security instability.

We'll continue to work together and put further efforts to assist in arriving at this goal.

And here was President Trump once again aboard Air Force One talking about what he wants to see from Iran.

I want them not to have a nuclear weapon.

I want Iran to be a wonderful, great, happy country.

Iran officials said after the two-hour meeting in Omane, they'd like to meet again next week.

The president has said that military action is an option to prevent Iran

from developing a nuclear weapon. But will judge has ruled that pro-Palestinian activist

Mahmoud Khalil can be deported for his role in the Columbia University campus protests.

As Fox's CB Cotton reports, Mahmoo Khalil's attorneys are expected to file applications

to try and stop his deportation.

The judge cited a memo from Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who wrote that Khalil's beliefs, statements, or associations would compromise U.S. foreign policy interest.

In court, Khalil's attorneys slammed that memo and argued the government is violating Khalil's right to

free speech. The Trump administration is counting the ruling a win, secretary Christy Knoem,
