Welcome back to another episode of five minutes in church history. I am very excited about this episode because I have a good friend of mine who is a fellow church historian we have on our program Dr Michael Hagen. Welcome. Hagen, welcome to our program.

Dr. Hagen is professor of church history

and also biblical spirituality

at the Southern Baptist, Theological Seminary,

and Louisville, Kentucky,

but you live in Toronto.

I do, yes, you do.

Commute, it's a long commute.

And you teach church history and biblical spirituality,

and I want to talk to you about one of your more recent books.

You're very prolific, so it's hard to keep up with you actually Dr. Hagen.

But this is one of your more recent books.

It's entitled Eight Women of Faith. It's published by

Crossway. So you write on Jane Gray and you write on Margaret Baxter, who is she?

Margaret Baxter is the wife of the Puritan, Richard Baxter.

You also write on Anne Steele,

him writer.

Yeah, Anne Steele was a Baptist hymn writer.

You write on Esther Edwards Burr, she was the daughter of Jonathan Edwards. Of Jonathan Edwards, and of course we were writing on the daughter of Jonathan Edwards, we need to write on Sarah, the wife of the

Edwards.
